Saturday, September 13
1-5pm
Lincoln Street Center, Rockland, Maine
Explore the possibilities and poetry of the humble and ubiquitous goldenrod.
Learn about mordants and how to prepare a dye bath in order to create a range of yellow hues.
While our fabrics are simmering in the pots, we’ll spend time writing, using a series of open-ended prompts designed to connect us to the change of seasons.
You’ll leave with a selection of dyed fabrics you can incorporate into your sewing projects, and some writing that might just surprise you. No previous experience needed.
