over and over and over again

When the winter will not end. When you wonder how you'll make it. When you've forgotten what it feels like to be warm, and you haven't seen the sun in weeks. This, my friends, is when you need to lean into any practice you can find that can offer you comfort, that can offer you hope. For me, this winter, it has been hand quilting.

each stitch a way to say "stay"

The over and over, the again and again, feels like a lullaby. Like a way to say: "Everything is gonna be all right. Even if you can't see your way to the end just yet...
